Profile and Background

Hexagon group of companies commenced operation in 1982 and branched out into property development in 1984. After several housing, commercial and multi-dwelling developments the group embarked on its first Hotel project in 1988 and opened its doors as a tourism plant in October 1990 with the introduction of Tokatoka Resort Hotel across from the Nadi International Airport. In a matter of 24 months Tokatoka Resort earned itself a reputation as the most sought after Nadi airport hotel for New Zealand and Australian Visitors. The Group finally sold its interest in Tokatoka two years ago.
The group embarked on an apartment style inner city hotel at the capital city Suva with the opening of Suva Motor Inn in August 1995. This property has proven over the years to be the most sought after , middle of the road, business and family accommodation in the Capital city. In October 1995 the group took on the financially troubled Westgate hotel and transformed that into a successful low budget 3 star hotel and renamed it The West's Motor Inn. From 3rd quarter 2007 with completion of adjoining development of upmarket serviced apartment annexes (Hibiscus and Jasmine Wings) and the amalgamation of the old "Sandalwood Inn" (now transformed into deluxe suites and 250 seater conference/function centre), the re-branded total complex as the Group flagship 'HEXAGON INTERNATIONAL HOTEL & VILLAS" will put on offer diverse accommodation options with equivalent of 150 hotel -room capacity! In November 1997 the group took over the operations of Melanesian Hotel from the leased operators and over two years spent in excess of $1.5m dollars to transform this into a combination of overnight and family style motel now renamed the Grand Melanesian Hotel, with special appeal to Regional Island traffic and tourists in search of affordable accommodation and friendly Island spirit! In April 2000 the group took over the operations of a lavish and up-market oasis in Labasa (Island of Vanua Levu) known as the Grand Eastern Hotel. As the only escape "haven" in the town of Labasa, this hotel is popular both to business travellers and tourists. In April 2002 the Hexagon Group of Hotels opened the doors to its new Villa Resort near the Wailoaloa Beach Nadi - Grand West's Villas -offering up market family accommodation in private and exclusive village concept. Situated on the most outstanding landscaped and spacious 5 acre site in nadi, close to all amenities, cruises, Airport Golf course and 500 meter walk to the beach and breath-taking sunset, this property offers fully contained two bedroom villas and one bedroom and studio suites to suit both large family and couple/single occupants. In 2005 the Group acquired the then known "Seashell Cove Resort" and over 24 months has transformed this into a fun Resort with strong appeal to Divers, surfers, fishing enthusiasts, and laid back waterfront resort lifestyle - in the heart of "MOMI BAY"- 25 minutes from the Nadi Airport ,and now the home of upcoming multi-million dollar integrated Resorts/villas/international golf course developments! The now renamed SEASHELL@MOMI Resort offers brand new one bedroom modern apartment style accommodation, Beach Bures, bungalows/cottages and also backpacker facilities.
Hexagon Group was founded in 1982 by Hafiz Khan, former Corporate Banker and Financial / Management Consultant. He served on many Government and Statutory bodies and served as a Senator and the Vice President in the Upper House of Parliament. Over the past 25 years he has served as Advisor to a number of key institutions. Management Structure The head office Management Structure is made up of a Chief Financial 0fficer (Former Chief Manager of a commercial bank and a Chartered Account), and a Director of Operations (Accounting and Management Graduate). Every hotel in the group is professionally managed by sound and capable Managers with support at corporate levels. Hexagon Group Head Office coordinates and focuses group marketing strategies and combined networking between the various hotels. This coordinated approach and philosophy is one of the main keys to the success of the group.
