The group then embarked on an apartment style inner city hotel at the capital city Suva with the opening of Suva Motor
Inn in August 1995. In October 1995 the group took on the financially troubled Westgate hotel and transformed that into
a successful low budget 3 star hotel and renamed it The West's Motor Inn.
In November 1997 the group took over the operations of Melanesian Hotel from the leased operators and over two years
spent in excess of $1.5m dollars to transform this into a combination of overnight and family style motel now renamed the
Grand Melanesian Hotel.
In April 2000 the group took over the operations of a lavish and up-market oasis in Labasa (Island of Vanua Levu) known
as the Grand Eastern Hotel.
In April 2002 the Hexagon Group of Hotels opened the doors to its new hotel near the Wailoaloa Beach Nadi - Grand West's
Villas offering up market family accommodation in private and exclusive village concept.
